to claim to repent
God wants obediance
not lies
If i was really sorry
I would get my act together
If I'm set free from sin
Then why do I flirt with it
like a wayward wife
I need to take control
of my act and my tongue
be slow to speak
live like Your Son
I need to carry my cross
EACH DAY !!!
and go that extra mile
to live for You and
serve You gladly with a smile
I ought to have more than good intentions
I need to bear fruit
good fruit

I have sat here discouraged long enough
I need to get up and walk
and obey Your word
I'll trust in Your Love
that never fails
and clothe myself in Christ's attitude
and refute the accusations brought against me
for forgiven sin
I've been wasshed in Your Blood
Now I live for You
I'll strain on forward
and forget the past
Your Love... Your Grace is enough
Set my eyes on the prize
look into Your eyes
and Live what is my heart's desire
to know You more

Keep striving, my young friend--but don't beat up on yourself, either! God knows our hearts and is greater than our worries about whether we're pleasing Him. Keep putting those past sins behind you--He's already cast them in the deepest sea even while you're asking forgiveness for them! They're history!

Your best yet... One of the things that took me a while to get my head round in the Christian walk is forgiveness. God can actually love our yucky bits, the places that we do not want anyone to know about. Even when we are disobedient and rebellious God loves us enough to forgive us. Pretty amazing huh!
